What can I expect during treatment & how can I prepare?

The planning process for dental implants may vary due to the possibility of needing one or more surgical procedures. It is important to receive a thorough evaluation first to prepare you for dental implant treatment.
Your dentist will review your medical history with you, which you will discuss any medical conditions or medications you take, prescription or over the counter. X-rays will then be taken and you will receive a comprehensive dental exam to determine if you are qualified for treatment. A CT scan may be needed to ensure there is sufficient bone structure for the dental implant to be inserted. Typically, the entire process can take up to 6-9 months to fully complete depending on the individual case.
Your dental team will be transparent on the length of time the treatment will take and are readily available to answer any questions you have during your treatment.
